ZUMO is a research-based practice dedicated to digital architectural visualization. Founded by Andre Sashko and Alessandro Lussignoli in Barcelona. Inspired by classical knowledge and led by a technological approach, we strive to find new ways of perceiving architecture. Our aim is to unveil the genuine essence of architecture.

Andre Sashko has graduated from the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in 2014 and received his Master’s degree in Theory and Practice of Architectural Design from the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona in 2017, where he started his research on mass society and its impact on architecture (POST MASS). Between 2016 and 2019 he was a design architect in Barozzi Veiga. While employed by Barozzi Veiga, Andre has worked on a wide range of international projects. In 2017 he led the design for the large-scale installation for the exhibition “Vertical City” at the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial: “Make New History”, while in 2018 he had a leadership position for the competition of the Dynafit Headquarters in Kiefersfelden, Germany, overseeing all aspects of the design.

Alessandro Lussignoli graduated in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, achieving his Master’s degree. He participates to the Erasmus program at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura del Vallés. He was a co-founder of the research collective IRA-C with which he took part to the XIV Biennale di Venezia - Monditalia, Milano e Oltre exhibition at the Triennale di Milano and the Biennale dello Spazio Pubblico 2013. More recently he is been working in various architectural firms, from 2018-2020 as a design architect at Barozzi Veiga, working on a wide range of international competitions and projects.
